Privacy policy

Last updated May 2026. The short version: our calculators don't send your money figures anywhere, and we collect as little as possible.

The calculators are private by design

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. The balances, rates, income, and payments you type are processed on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers or to any third party. Close the tab and they're gone. We could not see your figures even if we wanted to.

What we do collect

  • Information you choose to send us. If you submit the newsletter or "free payoff plan" form, we receive the details you enter (such as your name, email, and the general information you provide) so we can respond.
  • Basic server logs. Like most websites, our host records standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These logs are not linked to the contents of any calculator.
  • Privacy-respecting analytics, if enabled. We may use aggregate, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are useful. This does not identify you individually.

How we use it

We use the information you send only to reply to you, deliver what you requested, and send occasional updates if you opted in. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers (such as our email provider) strictly to operate the site, and as required by law.

Affiliate links and third parties

Some outbound links are affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure). When you click through to a third-party provider, their own privacy policy governs what they collect. We are not responsible for the practices of sites we link to.

Your choices

  • You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any message.
  • You can request that we delete the contact information you've sent us.
  • You can use the calculators without providing any personal information at all.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
